PODs are issued as per our customers' request. We keep every Proof of Delivery for all consignments and can either issue them with the invoice, issue by request or retain at our facility for a period of 5 years. PODs can be sent via email, fax or the original by post.
We have different processes for different customers' dependant on their requirements. We check stock on customer request and as per schedules made for each customer. On agreement, we will stock check and provide reports/action taken. We have random checks on fast moving lines for each customer in order to maintain high levels of control.
Our current process allows order receipt by fax, by email and sometimes by telephone (if the level of urgency requires), this can then be followed up by confirmation at a later time. There is a new system in the pipeline that will allow customers to process orders direct onto our WMS through the Website.
We store and handle all kinds of goods, from food ingredients, drinks and food products to clothing, electrical goods and even aircraft parts for export. Our operations are geared around our customers' requirements/needs.
We can arrange any type of additional outsourced work. An example of this: We received some Boxed clothing containers from the Far East. Removed the clothing, placed the goods on hangers and delivered the goods to Sainsburys.
Our company has a policy of not denying our customers when they have peaks in their business and as such have access to additional Warehousing space when required. This additional space is managed by our company and it allows Logistics Alliance to provide continued support to our customers even during busy periods. We will however never transfer or redirect stock to other Warehouses without our customers' prior knowledge.
We deliver to a wide range of customers, from the major multiples, such as Tesco, Sainsburys, Asda and Morrisons, right through to home delivery (delivering goods ordered online and through our customers' requests).
